Kittitas Valley
Nestled in the heart of Washington State is Kittitas Valley,
a small agricultural area of Eastern Washington.
This arduous valley has been known for quality apples and fruit since the 1900's.
We are situated in the Columbia Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA)west of the Wahluke Slope and north of the Yakima Valley.
The climate here include sun soaked days of summer and cold winter nights. We also have our famous "Minstrel Winds" which add to our unique growing region.
Edgemont
Located South of Ellensburg and just east of the Yakima River, the Thrall & Dodge Winery
is perched just above the 1500 foot level of the Manastash Ridge
in the scenic Edgemont area. This area is known as the fruit basket of Kittitas Valley.
The winery enjoys a regional view looking out to the Valley and the Stuart Mountain Range.
Winery
The small family-run winery supports the aspects of producing hand crafted wine. A slow, labor intensive and tedious process matching the ethics of the hard working valley farmers.
We are personally involved in every step of the wine making process from grape selection, transportation, crushing, fermentation,
pressing, barreling and bottling to packing and shipping.
Cellar
Aged to the optimum quality and taste, the wines enjoy a natural environment with the year-round average temperature just
above 50 degrees.
The barrel room holds all of our barrels and bottled wines for aging until it is ready. Only than do we pull the wine out for tasting or delivery.
Tasting
Our tasting room is currently under construction but is normally open Saturday and Sundays Noon to 5pm (Spring, Summer, and Fall). We serve a free sample of each wine available.
When complete come join us for a taste and enjoy our log tasting room, stone fireplace, and views of Ellensburg and the Stuart Range off in the distance.
Special Tasting Events maybe arranged by contacting the winery.
